By downloading, installing, or using Wats That ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Wats That is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to identify objects, plants, animals, and other items from photos. Users can:
- Scan objects using their device camera
- View AI-generated identification results and information
- Save scan history locally on their device
- Share scans to the public community feed
- Browse and interact with community-shared scans
3. User Conduct
3.1 Community Sharing
When sharing content to the community feed, you agree:
- You own or have rights to any images you share
- Content is public — anything you share will be visible to all users and website visitors
- No personally identifiable information — do not share images containing personal documents, addresses, or sensitive personal data
- You are responsible for the content you share
3.2 Prohibited Content
You may NOT share content that:
- Contains nudity, sexual content, or pornography
- Depicts violence, gore, or graphic content
- Promotes hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
- Contains illegal content or promotes illegal activities
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains spam or misleading information
Violation of these rules will result in immediate removal of content and may result in being blocked from community features.
3.3 Content Moderation
We reserve the right to:
- Remove any content that violates these Terms without notice
- Block users who repeatedly violate community guidelines
- Report illegal content to appropriate authorities
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 App Ownership
The App, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
4.2 User Content
You retain ownership of images you capture. By sharing to the community feed, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your shared content within the App and associated website.
5. AI-Generated Content
5.1 No Guarantee of Accuracy
The AI identification results are provided for informational purposes only. We make no guarantees regarding:
- Accuracy of object identification
- Completeness of information provided
- Suitability for any particular purpose
5.2 Not Professional Advice
AI results should NOT be used as a substitute for professional advice, including but not limited to:
- Medical advice (e.g., identifying plants for consumption)
- Safety assessments
- Product authentication
- Species identification for scientific purposes
Always consult appropriate professionals for important decisions.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services including:
- OpenAI (for AI identification)
- Supabase (for community features)
- Firebase (for crash reporting and analytics)
- Cloudflare (for image hosting)
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
